Yoga Therapy for Whole Wellbeing

When something starts to feel 'off,' modern medicine generally intervenes to address the symptom(s).  Through the lens of yoga therapy, we shift the focus to exploring all aspects of your Self, honoring what is in or out of balance, so we may discover any deeper root causes. And from there, we come to the mat with gentle curiosity, opening to mindful awareness, presence, and increasing your felt sense of safety, wisdom and truth.

What is Yoga Therapy?

What to expect:

This path starts with a conversation to understand what brings you to yoga therapy, how you experience life, what you'd like to achieve, and which yoga practices best suit you.  Each session is designed uniquely for you, to support your goals, and promote more balance across all parts of your life.  We talk about how and what you feel in your body, in your energy, in your mind and heart, in your community and close support network, and I'll help you develop your deeper wisdom and inner knowing so that you can move through life feeling aligned with who you are.

Yoga practices that may be used:

  • Asana (yoga poses), tailored to your body, ability and comfort

    • Movements may be active or restorative in nature, based on your needs

  • Breath practices to regulate your nervous system and increase felt spaciousness

  • Guided meditation in support of your goals and addressing any imbalances

  • Energy practices to increase the flow of Prana (vital life force energy)

  • Visualization of how you want to be and feel, evoking clarity for your vision

  • Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) for deep restoration

  • Self-inquiry to better understand who you authentically are

  • Lifestyle adaptations to best support your journey

Everything is co-created, working together, meeting yourself just as you are, day-to-day, embracing the qualities of loving-kindness, compassion, acceptance, and curiosity.

Most clients start with 4 sessions, and many continue beyond!  Ask me about my Therapeutic Yoga Program Package that includes your Initial Session + 3 follow up sessions.  Sessions are 75-90 minutes.
